Epigenetics at the 32nd Annual Congress on Childhood Obesity
Epigenetic programming in early life and its impact on obesity and health outcomes.
The Bulgarian Association for the Study of Obesity and Related Diseases (BASORD) held its 32nd annual congress on childhood obesity in Albena, Bulgaria, from 7 to 9 September, bringing together specialists from many disciplines.
On the second day, Prof. Milena Georgieva, Epix AI’s Chief Scientific Officer, gave a plenary session: “Epigenetic Programming in Early Life and its Impact on Obesity and Health Outcomes”. She showed why epigenetics is central to understanding both the causes of childhood obesity and the ways to address it.
The congress made clear that collaboration and research are essential to meeting childhood obesity as a global challenge.
